Summary
Power is a fascinating thing. Even with the shock collar, voice removal, and altogether altered code by LettuceK, Wemmbu isn't going to let himself give into what Lettuce wants. He'll get out of here. No matter how long it takes.
And, of course, Lettuce is counting on him to think exactly that. Every little move the demon makes just lands him further under the LAW's control - who would've thought that the urge to obey can fill in so many wounds in a 'person'?
OR: perhaps the best way to train a dog is to turn its own escape against it, and convince it that it wants it.

Summary
The last time Wemmbu walked into Parrot’s shop, he wasn’t wearing netherite armor.
He was a diamond-clad knight, transparent figure shrouded in a veil of mystery—a ghost capital city praised a hero.
But now, he walks under a ringing windchime, his long locks flowing behind him with every step, golden sun of the Law blazing on his chestplate. Not invisible, but not truly himself either.
“Yo Parrot, just here to run some errands,” he spoke. It wasn’t the god horrible voice changer he’s grown accustomed to—it was him, Wemmbu in the flesh. Unveiled, skin visible under his armor, the man before him wasn’t the Invisible Knight, but the living, breathing Wemmbu he knew.
The sight made Parrot forget how to breathe.

“We’re doing this right now?” he asked, and though his voice came out playful, a little provoking, there was something underneath it that sounded an awful lot like hurt. Wemmbu hoped Flame didn’t know him well enough to pick up on it. “Seriously?”
“Of course,” Flame answered, grinning at him. “We beat the Law, and now I’ll beat you.”
Right. Right, because that was why Wemmbu had even been dragged into fighting the Law in the first place. They were always going to end up here, exchanging blows, because Flame had chased Wemmbu’s ghost for over a month in a desperate bid to reclaim his title.
Nothing more to it than that. Nothing.
