Rey was watching the news on the TV in the coffee shop where she worked part time while going to school for engineering when the world went to absolute shit.
She was making a fresh pot of coffee in Maz’s coffee along the eastern part of Oregon in the trees covering most of their town. The area consists mostly of old white people and country folk cut off from most of the world, which was why she liked it, despite the small perspective of others in the town.
Until dead people started walking around craving human flesh.
