This one is a little bit dark, and for that I’m sorry-not-sorry. Super non-canon. Sanvers endgame but oh-so-much angst to get there.

Anyway, Annie’s lecturing and Chris is not listening, because Beth stole his coffee and he’s staring at her like a total, infatuated idiot. She’s got her hands buried in the sleeves of one of his sweatshirts and the hood is pulled so far up on her head that he can barely see her eyes peeking out from under the hem of the fabric, and god, he loves her so much. He doesn’t even notice when Annie stops talking. Annie, whose philosophy is subtlety, waves a hand in front of his face to catch his attention and says, bluntly: “Don’t make my life hell.”
