Neuvillette turns in his arms. Presses close until his cheek is resting against Wriothesley's chest. He’s red-faced and flush. Sweat clings to his brow, dampening his hair. Wriothesley combs through it regardless. “You’ll reconsider when I vomit all over you,” moans Neuvillette morosely into his shirt.
Wriothesley's nose crinkles—that must be the sour smell that lingers. “Stomach bug?”
“Don’t be ridiculous. My constitution is…” Neuvillette trails off, realizing how stupid his words sound. “Even Sovereigns are beholden to the ire of ill-prepared foods on occasion.”
Wriothesley gets called in to snuggle his sick omega.

“I’m married,” he says, a ripple of audible gasps from beyond the cameras. “There’s already someone at home.”
“This–this…”
“I owe everything to them. And so, I want to say it today. Crimson Rain is off the table everyone. It’s time I embrace my beloved back, with all the same love and gratitude.”
Unfortunately, Hua Cheng forgets one detail: perhaps he should have told this to his beloved first.
(Or: Hua Cheng confesses in the most roundabout way possible, Xie Lian's confused and jealous, and in between all of this is Yin Yu's braincell saving the day.)

Slowly, the man’s gaze slid over to take him in, and as he turned, Wriothesley could see that Monsieur Neuvillette’s eyes were a striking lilac color, the pupils slit and white. Wriothesley did his honest best not to fidget or let his scent shift too much to one of sudden desire-tinged-anxiety as Neuvillette closed his book.
