这一年我将满十八岁，绩说要为我织一件新衣服，他让我站着别动，拿来软尺，为我测量肩宽和腰围。他站在我面前，自顾自地在我身上比划，我垂目看他，才忽然发觉我不知何时已比他更高。而他在将软尺环过我的腰，绕到我背后时，那姿势变得很像一个拥抱，几乎是下意识地，我收拢双臂抱住了他，这拥抱的感觉与以往的每一次都不相同。他上次抱我大概还是好些年前，像搂孩子似的把我捞在臂弯里，所以我只感觉到他的温暖。这次是我抱他，于是除了温暖之外，我感觉到他是如此纤细、柔软，他的心脏在慌乱地跳动，我一伸手就能摸到他泛红的耳尖。
