    Summary

The Valyrian Gods are twisted and malicious, but they have a funny way of helping when a dragon seed's life is in danger and they see potential to save its legacy. King Viserys lives, but everyone knows that his days are numbered before he is taken by The Stranger.
But none of that matters when two sworn enemies must guard a child with a terribly protective pearly pink baby dragon while ignoring the growing sexual tension that has been brewing between them for some time. Not to mention the whispers throughout the Seven Kingdoms about a possible war for the succession to the Iron Throne that could break out at any moment.

Davos Blackwood doesn't know much about the Valyrian Gods, but he's sure they're terribly entertained by the game pieces they've put in his way to live out the rest of his days.

    Summary

The washerwomen say he was a Lysene pirate.
The stableboys swear he was a Dornish sellsword.
The servants whisper of a tall Northern wildling.

In the Red Keep, everyone has a theory about who sired Prince Aerion's three bastards. They imagine a dozen different alphas from a dozen different lands. Everyone, that is, except the silent seven-foot-tall knight in white standing right behind them.

The truth hiding in plain sight.
