In another universe, the gods have been cursed barren since the dawn of their reign. No children. No heirs. No softness to temper their wild divinity. They are beautiful and terrible, wolf-bright and star-eyed, ancient beings wearing human shapes but never fully human. And they are starving—starving for children they cannot have.

Percy Jackson’s editor had one suggestion: end The Last Olympian on a cliff-hanger. Against his better judgement, Percy agreed. Now the world can’t stop arguing about whether he chose godhood or not and Percy can’t say he’s thrilled with the outcome.
