Summary
Five years have passed since the Battle of Hogwarts, and the trio is still on the run, having failed to defeat Voldemort. The sky broke open, and the rain fell harder, pouring over them, but all she felt was the warmth of him, the press of his tongue against her lip, the answering greed in her own kiss. His hand slipped beneath her neck, holding her as if he feared she might vanish. The kiss grew urgent, and the storm itself seemed to close in, a sea of rain casting the world into silver threads until they were completely drenched. And in the rush of it, she thought fleetingly how strange it was, the way history repeated itself in those small details.
