    Todo comenzó con la inocencia y curiosidad de Atsushi.
    Cuando un hombre de traje negro, ojos rojos y aspecto cansado se sienta junto a él en la banca del parque, comenzando a murmurar lo harto que está del mundo, lo triste que es, como esperaba cruzarse con un alma dulce y bondadosa antes de su muerte. Claramente, el inocente Nakajima intenta consolarlo diciéndole palabras alentadoras, hasta que logra estabilizarlo. El hombre, posiblemente conmovido; le regala un raro libro de color negro, con dos iniciales de color plateado en una de las esquinas.

    Atsushi, se llevaría la peor sorpresa de su vida al saber que las palabras que profesó invocarían a dos temibles demonios, los cuales estaban dispuestos a cumplir sus deseos, a cambio de tener su alma para toda la eternidad. Y lo peor de todo, o tal vez la cereza del postre para aquellos seres: su amigo, quien a la vez era su compañero de piso, Chuuya Nakahara, se verá envueltola catástrofe de demonios, deseos y almas robadas.
