Okay, so he's not dead. That's good. But what's this about him being stuck playing the character Tartaglia? Tartaglia, as in the no-good, one-dimensional, cartoonish villain who met his untimely, gruesome death in the first act of the original game?
Forget this. Like hell Ajax is going to share that fate.
And so begins one man's journey to save himself from his awful destiny.

Childe moonlights as a phone sex operator to pay for his bills. Zhongli is a grieving man looking for a stranger to listen to him, rather than help him get off. It breaks the growing monotony of his late night calls, but Childe eventually finds himself falling for the deep-voiced man he knows only as "Rex."
“You want to talk?” Childe asked, his brow furrowed. “So… what do you want to talk about, Rex?”

To say that Inazuma’s Mission is a disaster is putting it lightly. What happened in Inazuma is unequivocally a clusterfuck with a capital C, a shit storm of epic proportions not unlike the one raised by Osial himself during the Liyue Mission, which, coincidentally, also tanked the Fatui’s reputation. Dear Archons, it tanked the Fatui’s reputation so hard and so fast that Pulcinella will be lucky if he can manage to dredge up its shattered remains from the depths of the Earth in which it now lays.
Luckily, Pulcinella has a Plan to fix things, and it all starts with an old, black-and-white photo of Tartaglia in a glorious winter coat.

Living as an orphaned commoner, Ajax hardly has enough on his plate, much less for his 3 younger siblings. When his debts are due, unable to pay them back in time, he is torn away from his siblings and sold to make it up.
Though locked away, he encounters an influential man who visits days later. Begging with the last of his shame long gone, he promises to do anything, even work as a servant for the rest of his life as long as his siblings are given a safe life. The royal instead offers him a special contract.
Agreeing, Ajax doesn't realize how much his life would change until the royal reveals himself as the Emperor of Liyue. -
