Wei Wuxian appeared beside them. He took in the sight of A-Ning’s corpse in her arms. He might have said something or he might have remained silent. Wen Qing couldn’t really think straight anymore. She felt as if she was being ripped apart from the inside.
She lost consciousness.
A moment later, Wen Qing shuddered awake again. She wasn’t inside the ravine any longer. She still wore the same set of robes, but somehow, they were completely dry. She was back in Yunmeng. Her brother was still alive somewhere out there.
