When the Casket of Winters was removed from Jotunheimr by Odin the Realm quickly fell into ruin, a decade later Loki was born. As a small-born female Jotun, Loki was a good omen for Jotunheimr. With her birth her Realm's deterioration seemed to halt. Raised to rule; she was crowned Queen before her first century and has worked hard to bring prosperity to her people. A millennia later Thor is to be crowned king of Asgard only Odin doesn't think he's ready. A Blood Oath and a Thor tantrum later; Thor becomes Loki's ward and banished to Jotunheimr until he can learn how to be a good King to his people. Thor soon learns just how easy he's had it. -

Not exactly well, but not dead, despite best efforts.I had sat down to work on the next chapter of my fic but this happened instead. Will update it as soon as I have a decent chapter to put up.
This is something that just sort of spewed itself onto the page, haven't written something like this in years so meh, think of it what you will.

Summary
Robert thought that if this was what the end of the mecha man legacy looked like, well. He didn’t think his father would be proud, necessarily, but he thought Robbie would have at least appreciated the irony of it all. An arch enemy beaten and another Robertson lost to the suit. The scales balanced once again.

Robert loses his leg in the final battle against Shroud and has to find himself within the long and hard recovery afterwards. Will he let those around him help him, or will he push them all away? There's been a lot he's ignored about his body and past injuries, and now it's all catching up to him. But it's Robert, which means he definitely won't be going gently into that good night.

"Robert, what the fuck is going on? Are you actually getting a new job or something?" Punch Up asked. "I get that it's none of our business, but..."
"What? No, I'm not getting a new job," Robert said, and the surprise at least sounded completely honest in his voice. He paused, and Flambae could almost feel the wheels turning in his head even across the distance as he tried to decide how much to tell them.
There was a pause.
"I wasn't going on a date. And I'm not getting another job. I was going to a funeral," he said finally.
"Oh," Mal said quietly.
"My condolences," Coop added a little louder.
"I..." Robert started and then swallowed.
"You don't have to explain," Flambae said, because yeah. Okay, this really wasn't their business, even if he wished Robert knew that he could lean on them if he needed.
"No, it's part of the job," Robert continued, though that made no fucking sense. "I was Mecha Man for... god, more than fifteen years. I had about two dozen make-a-wish kids. And I try to keep in contact, if the parents are willing."
Oh.
