"I said that she’s the most marketable superhero in the city right now, and I had sway over her before but now I know her civilian identity.” He still looks unconvinced so Sim lets out a sigh and relents. “And, I need to spend more time with her to confirm this, but I think she has ties to the Montagues.”
“You know what you’re asking for, don’t you?”
“I do, actually, I wrote it in the report.”

No one remembers when the Crown and Cleaver became a threat. One day, they were unheard of, and the next day, they were on every superhero watchlist in the area.

Summary
The only real lights to be seen are ten small candles in front of the crumbling concrete walls. They flicker too but, unlike the street lights, they do not go out. They stand, no matter how rough the wind blows.
There are ten candles, but only nine of them are lit. Enjolras knows because he lights the first one. He is not the one who sets them out, but he is the conductor in this symphony of light. At his cue, each candle, one by one, gains a flame-- altogether dancing, their embers like amber encased in stone.
Each candle, but one.

I tilt my head up to get another look at the stranger. Doctor Newton. An odd moniker to pick out for oneself. He’s not a real doctor, that much I am certain of. He’s a… magician of sorts.
That’s a safe word, right? Magician. A charlatan, as my sister would call him. People like that are only ever looking to line their pockets by reading a few cards and pretending to know everything about your life, she’d probably say. Good Lord, Monty, what have you gotten yourself into now?
I wish I knew, is the only reply I have.

“Because I’m your big brother, Feli,” I hear him bring the phone closer to his mouth because his voice goes all small and round. “I haven’t acted like it for too damn long but I’m not going to let you stop me from trying.”

Summary
Riz swings his hand down on the table with enough force that Gorgug falls off his chair, legs and arms akimbo as he hits the ground in a bleary thwump. “The hoop!” Riz says, in the triumphant tone of a man happening upon an equation that ties together the breadth of the universe, or of someone learning the McRib has come back – full, whooping, victorious.
Fabian does not look up from his CHA 101 textbook. “No.”

Summary
No, he’s not scared Eddie will be mad at him for his feelings. He’s more worried about a future where Eddie’s uncomfortable around him, where they dance around each other at every loser gathering because the head-over-heels, balls deep, I-carved-our-initials-into-the-kissing-bridge love is unreciprocated. He thinks that that new, horrible awkwardness would be the death of him. Between having Eddie and living with this secret forever or telling him and ruining everything, it’s not even a choice.
or, Eddie Kaspbrak is looking for a place to stay during his 4-week work retreat in Los Angeles, and of course Richie, in all of his generous, hospitable, dumbass glory offers his place. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

Summary
There’s a beat of hesitation, but Evan lets go of the red metal and looks headlong into the ground awaiting him.
All is calm, and he takes a step.
“What the fuck.” The stillness of the night is shattered to pieces, and Evan scrambles desperately to take hold of the bridge again. The loss of the silence brings about the loss of control, and within moments he’s hyperventilating, hands sweating and heart racing.
Evan glances over his shoulder and in the darkness can make out a slight, tall figure standing at the very edge of the treeline.
“I-I’m sorry?” Evan chances in response, eyes on the person as they step forward.
And, well. Of all the people he expected to see tonight, Connor Murphy was not one of them.

Summary
Courfeyrac’s home office had a wall completely dedicated to relationships. It looked rather like it had come straight out of a conspiracy theorist’s wet dreams, pins and colorful embroidery floss (as yarn had quickly grown far too bulky) organized in a way that was almost incomprehensible. It did, in theory, have a legend, in the corner, but since nobody other than Courfeyrac ever really saw it, it was small.
Or "Courfeyrac's Wall of Shenaniganary (and the life and times of those who see it)"
