Summary
On the Planet of his birth, Cloud had destroyed Sephiroth years ago. The reactors are long cold, the world is saved, and he and Tifa keep their little family in remembrance of the dead.
In this new dimension, it's like the apocalypse Cloud remembers was half-averted. Mako's still around, ShinRa's in business, and Tifa supposedly died years ago under Cloud's JENOVA-fueled rampage. The other problem? Everyone's alive, looking for answers, and this dimension is a little more different than it seems.
It's hard, taking out reactors while being hunted across the continent by the people who are apparently your soulmates. It's hard, and no one understands.

Cloud stares at the doctor, then down at his hands, where the left one has a needle stuck in it. There are cold droplets dropping, his vision swimming through a ripple-blur. “S-so – that's —” Cloud pushes a breath, “what happens now?”
“Well, as I've said before, your recovery comes first,” the doctor says as a matter of fact. “We’ll ensure you’re well taken care of, and from there, you can decide your next steps. There are other paths you might consider, but I'm sorry, Mr. Strife, becoming a SOLDIER is no longer one of them.”
Cloud strikes a deal with himself: he serves as an infantryman because it’s a prerequisite to be in SOLDIER. Hopes to pass the exam. Then climb his way through the ranks with maximum effort until he's a First Class SOLDIER fighting alongside his idol. But that all changes when he presented as an omega.
