Her heart wasn’t racing as she’d been expecting it to. Something she’d been thinking about for a damn long time and here she was, doing it, sitting alone on a beach on a very unpleasant day. Her head was starting to feel weird, like it was filled with static, static that was also really, really heavy. She let it loll back and closed her eyes.
