The morning breeze rustled the bedroom curtains, and thin rays of sunlight lingered in Viktor's closed eyes at irregular intervals. Grunting, he realized that in his excitement at finally having Jayce back after long, terrible days apart, he had completely forgotten to close the damn window.
“Mi gatito woke up grumpy today, I see.” His partner’s toned arms, already encircling his body, hugged him tighter and pulled him towards his warm, defined chest, and Viktor felt himself melt against him, some of his irritation fading away. “You’d think he’d be thrilled with my return and the night we had, but noooo… I think he hates me.” Jayce stated, making a whole dramatic gesture complete with lowered ears and a pout.
“Jayce, my love, I’m incredibly happy with your return. What I’m not happy about is this sun hurting the eyes you say you love so much,” Viktor hummed.
