Summary
Regulus' life has been decisively better ever since he was accepted into his dream school - Glenalmond Academy. Excited for another academic year, to get away from the tiring life with his messed-up, abusive family, Regulus wants to pour all his attention into his studies, but there is one small thing, or should he say, one not-so-small someone getting in his way. His (traitor) older brother and his obnoxious, loud, annoying friends also attend Glenalmond:
Sirius Black - said traitor brother, who Regulus cannot bring himself to describe.
Remus Lupin - the least insufferable of his brother's crew, he wears cool sweaters, but has recently been getting awfully close to his brother for Regulus' liking.
Peter Pettegrew - the fourth wheel, who will do absolutely anything to impress the other three.

James Fleamont Potter - the most IRRITATING, SELF ABSORBED prick Regulus had ever had the displeasure of encountering, who he also just cannot bring himself to look away from. -

Summary
James has always known about Regulus. Sirius would tell him stories, when they were younger, although that all chanced by the end of their second year. Sirius stopped with the stories, stopped with the praises, and eventually stopped calling Regulus his brother. By sixth year, Regulus's name hadn't been mentioned in months.
But when James and Regulus are forced into detention with each other, things begin to change. Namely, the number of lies James has ever told Sirius in his life are steadily growing, and James's conflicting feelings are growing as well.
But he's in far too deep to turn back.

“I’m not a goddamn hero. This isn’t one of your books. There are no heroes or villains here, not in real life.”
Regulus sneered. “That’s what a hero would say.”
James stuttered for a moment before breaking off, sighing exasperatedly. Regulus kind of reveled in it, knowing that he knew how to rile him up. James was always perfect, the teachers loved him, the students loved him, and he loved them, always being so damn charismatic. Knowing that he, that Regulus Black could break that little facade…well, he kind of liked it.

Writing in a diary wasn’t something that had ever appealed to Regulus; even the thought of writing down his every feeling like that brought about some embarrassment. But he was going to dwell on those thoughts all night regardless, so he decided in the end that there was no harm in at least attempting to purge them by committing them to paper first. The tip of his quill lingered in the cobalt ink for a moment before he made the first mark.
A second passed, and Regulus watched in surprise as something new appeared in the diary, dark and cramped cursive words replacing his own.

Regulus pulled his bottom lip between his teeth in anticipation, wiggling his hips slightly.
“Uh-uh. What do you want, darling?” Regulus threw his head back against the pillow and moaned quietly.
“Fuck me.”
“Try again.” James said, edging forward so minutely, and Regulus groaned.
