Summary
Another night has come, and once again Rui can't find the will and the sleep he needs to... you know... go to sleep.
So instead of curling up in their blankets, he decides to visit the Sekai to see if it can help them sleep... and it worked after seeing things that reminded him of his beloved troupe in the SEKAI.

“Shut up,” Kou says hoarsely, putting up a finger. “Seriously, shut the fuck up. What are you doing here?”
Mitsuba giggles and leans in closer, hands folded behind his back. "I wanted to know why you weren't in school,” he admits. “Daikon told me it “wasn't my business” or whatever, as if I'm not School Mystery Number Three and everything's my business. I tried spying on your brother, too, but he just stopped whatever he was saying and stared directly at the mirror I was in like he somehow knew I was in there.” He shudders. “It was so terrifying that I didn't try it again.”
Kou snorts. “That sounds like Teru, alright. So the natural next step was to come to my house?”
“Duh,” Mitsuba says, eyes widening slightly with realization. “God, you're sick, aren't you? Why couldn't Daikon just tell me that? Unless… Kou, are you on your deathbed right now?”

Summary
Being so close to Mitsuba is incredibly strange. If Mitsuba were human, Kou would be able to hear his breathing, feel the warmth radiating off of him, smell whatever shampoo he'd last used or something like that. He's not getting any of that. If it weren't for the physical sensation of somebody leaning up against him, he might not even know he was there. Mitsuba has very little presence.
Still, Kou wouldn't change being next to him for anything. Even if he is a bit unnerving.

Summary
Mitsuba whines like a wounded animal, and as Kou stands up and walks around the table to get to him, he catches a glimpse of his eyes. Something dark and desperate lurks there, and it's the harshest reminder of the fact that his friend isn't actually human that Kou's received in a while. If it weren't for the clear unhappiness written across his face, the wobble of his lips and the shine in his eyes, he might remind Kou a little of Tsukasa.
“You're hungry,” he says faintly. “Actually hungry, not sushi hungry.”
Mitsuba exhales uneasily and lays his head down on the table. “No shit, genius."
