When he doesn't say anything else, Eddie knocks his shoulder against Buck's. "What's up?" He prompts, unaware.
Buck swallows, and then finally says, "I tried to kill myself last night."
(Or, Buck's been struggling for a long time, and he finally breaks.)

it starts… well, it starts because of a whole avalanche of reasons, really. it starts because buck broke up with taylor, and spent all of 3 weeks feeling good about it before the unease crept back in about him, (even though he denies it). it starts because eddie didn’t give up on therapy, and in the painstaking amount of sessions with frank, some realizations he did not sign up for start occurring. mostly of the 'being queer' and 'being in love with buck' kind.
it starts when eddie starts leaving daily fun-fact post-it notes on buck's locker. it somehow ends with them kissing.

Diaz doesn’t say a word, and Lyle groans.
He’s actually kind of desperate, because he absolutely cannot risk having to listen to Buckley and Diaz go on about how much they love each other ever again.
“You already know you’re in love with Buckley. I’m telling you Buckley is in love with you. You’re going to…” Lyle trails off, gesturing for Diaz to finish the sentence.
“I’m going to propose to Buck,” Diaz says without hesitation this time.

This might have been one of the funniest stories I've read. Lyle is a Queen and I legit laughed out loud multiple times. Actual LOLing .
and the Buddie characterisation was just so on point. JUst everything about this story is so insanely well done.

He doesn’t mean to. It’s just—with all that time he spent teasing death, all the motorcycles and factory fires and blood-coated grenades—death gets impatient, in the end. Right as he’s starting to take life seriously. After he puts his name on the lease, buys life a ring, like, I’m in this for the long haul. Death gets jealous, and Buck falls through a second-story floor onto a derelict wrought-iron stair rail, and his femoral artery begins the quick but methodical work of leaking out the next fifty or sixty years of his life onto the charred tile floor.Bookmarked by AgentBegum

“She's hanging out with her uncle Eddie today,” Eddie says, leaning back on his hands. He's smiling when he looks up at Buck, a real smile, and his whole face scrunches happily when Jee-Yun crashes into his side.
Buck feels like he needs to look away, but he has no idea how.

He misses Eddie, and he’s not sure what to do with all of the aching inside of him. There’s nowhere he can put it down. This grief feels like a living thing, like a parasite that is bleeding him dry and leaving nothing but hurt behind.
Buck’s heart stopped beating the moment Eddie’s did. He’s still waiting for it to restart.
