Summary
The stark difference between Jeremy threading through the law-related terminology and studying French is more than apparent. When Jeremy studies French – with his colorful pens, acidic page markers, enthusiastic mumbles under his breath – he looks giddy. Happy. There is a blush to his cheeks, a twinkle to his eyes as he looks at Jean, as if they are sharing a secret. He looks almost as ecstatic as he does when he is on the court scoring a goal.

Summary
Jean pats his cheek. “Good dog.”
It was supposed to be a joke. Speak. Lay down. Stay. Jean had been giving commands the entire time, moving Jeremy exactly where he wanted while he figured out how to take them both apart.
Jeremy doesn’t laugh.
Jeremy trembles, irises wide and bright and euphoric. A high-pitched gasp rises from his throat—Jean would call it a cry if he had to put a name to it.
Jean can’t tell if it’s a good or bad noise.
Time seems to pause. A pit forms in his gut.
“Jeremy…” he says slowly. “What was that?”

AKA: The trials and tribulations of Jean bottoming consensually for the first time. Complete with: trying to fist-fight your trauma, numerous naked conversations about deep psychological issues, responsibilities of being a dog owner, and calling your partner a good boy while he tops you.

Summary
“So,” Jeremy says, far too casually considering what his hand is up to, “who do you want to wear the condom?”
Jean blinks.
“It won’t be of much use if I wear it.” He says, a tad more snarky than intended.
Jeremy nuzzles his way around. “So you want me to top?” He clarifies.
They hadn’t discussed it fully when this was scheduled. And it was scheduled; marked on the calendar in red letters as the day they would try for the first time. They both got tested for various STDs and came back clean (shocking, considering the Raven’s intermingling). Jean needed time. Needed to think and plan and prepare for this. But Jeremy switches up expectations anyway, questions things Jean never considered options.
“Would you…let me choose otherwise?” Jean asks. It’s a slow, anxious tone he isn’t used to voicing.

Summary
“Concussion. My helmet-I...” Jeremy can hear the slight slur of his own words, and tries his best to carefully speak again. “I think I'm okay.”
Jean treats him to a withering glare, unimpressed, before his expression pales slightly, and Jeremy does not have to guess as to why. The backliner pulls his hand from Jeremy's skull, holding it in front of him so he can see as well.
Red.
Slick and bright, coating Jean's fingers.
Or: Jeremy is badly injured, and finds it increasingly difficult to keep his feelings for a certain former Raven under wraps as some interesting facts come to light.
