Summary
This fic is set in an AU canon divergence where Isagi lost his parents at a young age and got adopted by Ego. The storyline closely follows the canon.
After three years of training overseas, Isagi Yoichi finally returned to Japan to join the Blue Lock project. His commitment to the controversial Blue Lock project is rooted in loyalty to his mentor Ego Jinpachi, an incredibly twisted football fanatic with one goal in mind: To bring the Japanese team to win the World Cup. The absurdity of his plan has left JFU speechless. Despite opposition from many sides and facing overwhelming disadvantage, he resolved to risk everything to change Japanese Soccer, and Yoichi is determined to lead Team Blue Lock and fulfill his mentor’s vision.

Or in simple and decent kind, Isagi contented to be NPC, yet the universe didn't ounce to humour such things. Smacking him with a big no to his life.

Dokusha snapped their fingers together suddenly. “Oh, but I’m getting off-topic!” their forgetful demeanor soon shifted, however, before showcasing a truly manic grin, causing some (including Isagi) to either straighten up or squirm in their seats. “The person whose story you will react to...The football star I speak of…”
“Is none other than Isagi Yoichi.”
The boy in question gasped, eyes widening. Isagi felt as though he had been doused in ice-cold water, left to drown under the collective gazes of foes, strangers, and friends alike as the attention was abruptly turned to him.
Isagi could only think to say one thing, his voice mixing in with the countless others in the room.
“WHAT!?”
