Determined to give her self time to accept that the war is over, to find a way to undo her own spellwork, and prepare herself for a future in the wizarding government; goodness knows they needed at least someone competent.
Madame Dufont, as far as she can tell, is nothing more than what she appears to be: a highly competent witch, with the survival instincts to wait until after the war to try and teach defence against the dark arts at Hogwarts.
