Summary
These are the facts of the situation:
First, the stands at the Greyhounds’ training facility are particularly slippery after rain.
Second, Trent is not as coordinated as he would like to believe.
If he had known that Colin’s heroic rescue would result in this spiraling storm of whispers, Trent would have asked the universe to let him fall. Sure, it would have come with a loss of pride and respect, perhaps would have eradicated the last shreds of his dignity, maybe would have even resulted in a trip to the A&E if he hit his head, but –
It has to be better than this.
Trent wonders idly if he did hit his head and this is all a very bizarre dream.
Or: AFC Richmond think that Colin and Trent are in a secret relationship and are trying very hard to be supportive. Colin and Trent just want to be free from this nightmare of miscommunication.

Summary
“It’s some fucking ignorant shit!” Now that there’s more space between them, Colin can see Isaac is literally heaving with rage. What he really doesn’t understand is why. Colin knows he’s not the brightest, even graded on a sliding scale for footballers, but he’s pretty sure if anyone’s supposed to be righteously indignant here, it’s him.

An alternate take on Colin coming out to Isaac and later the team. Isaac was always going to lash out at the first person he heard saying something homophobic, and it's just Colin's luck that he happens to be that person.
