Summary
He was glancing at the clock on the wall when his eye caught on a boy, sitting at one of the high tables, little more than five feet away. The kid was staring at him in fascination, straw forgotten and dangling from his lips. There was a dollop of whip cream on his nose.
“Can I help you?” Peter asked, eyebrow raised in disapproval.
“Are you a doctor?”
Peter frowned. “Most certainly not.”
“Ah,” the kid sighed. “Then no.”
His eyes stayed glued to Peter’s face, the intensity of his gaze putting the man on edge.
“Didn’t your parents tell you it’s rude to stare?” Peter snapped.
“Sure, but I’ve never seen a real werewolf before!”
In that moment Peter was glad for his iron-clad self control. His eyes didn’t flash, his teeth didn’t lengthen, but his jaw sure as hell fell open.
“I beg your pardon!”
Or the one where Stiles just keeps popping up in Hale business.

Summary
So basically this is my fix-it for season four's treatment of Peter, which made me angry enough to spit nails. I've reworked the beginning and will be expanding this into a longer fic.
“For a werewolf, especially a beta whose pack has deserted him, the healing process would take months. Months of unbearable, unmitigated pain, as muscle and skin slowly knit themselves back together, because werewolves metabolize painkillers too quickly for them to be effective.”

Summary
Our story begins, as it will end, with a spark.
In one version, it begins with a Molotov cocktail held aloft, red eyes meeting whiskey gold, before it ignites with a shatter of glass. A howl of despair. A wolf burned again. A pack made of broken things.
But what if Peter didn’t spend six years alone, healing cell by cell? What if Stiles found out about the supernatural on his own? What would happen when the lonely boy found the abandoned wolf?
