“What do you want?” It was more of a choked command than a question, really. Two dark eyes bore into his own, sharply framed by pearly white on all borders, trembling like they’d locked onto prey. He’d been caught.
“Oh nothing, darling. Just enjoying the view.” He shuffled over to his bedroll and in better sight of the other, less rabid camp-goers. With lidded eyes he watched her rise from her crouched position and stalk over like a shadow, obscuring his view of the moon with where she stood. She eyed him curiously.
“Oh, the stars, I mean. Not your chin.”
Astarion observes his new companion at camp. There's something...not quite right about her.
