Inspired a lot by CowlStaff by Samurai_Yeehaw! I quite liked that fic and it made the rare brain juices start flowing. It's a bit similar in the beginning but I will be wholly unique from chapter two and onward :]

Summary
Kris is conflicted.
They know they need sleep for the festival tomorrow, and to continue the plan. But with Susie sounding so uncertain after getting their mother to quiet down, only the reminder of their promise stops them from jumping out the window to follow her.
It's in the midst of this internal debate, Kris hears the soul tapping rhythmically on the bars of it's cage.
Kris knows what that tapping means.

My first proper Deltarune fic, based on the idea that the soul could use it's limited movement to communicate with Kris in a very rough, rudimentary way, and how that could potentially change how the entire story goes.
