Summary
He sighs, eyes finally meeting Eddie with a tinge of sadness burning the corners of his gaze, “I’m leaving tomorrow morning.”
Panic fills Eddie’s lungs as he leans forward from where he was laying back in the now uncomfortable lounge chair. No, he thinks, not yet. He can’t let go of this yet. He doesn't want to say goodbye yet.
“But I- I’ve really liked hanging out with you, Eddie. I wanna know you. I wanna keep knowing you. These last two days have been like… the most fun I’ve ever had, so I just—“ Evan lowers his voice to a hushed whisper, a sound so soft it could only be meant for Eddie, “I wanna make it easier to find you again.”
OR buck & eddie meet on vacation as kids. years later, eddie shows up at the 118.

Summary
Eddie’s mind wandered to the red folder, tucked high up in the back of his closet. He recalled back to a conversation he had with Buck, almost a year ago at this point:
“It’s an insurance policy; a break glass in case of emergency. A trump card.”
“One I really hope we’ll never have to use.”
“But if we have to, we’ll be really glad we did this.”
When hospital policy doesn't allow Chris, as an unrelated minor, to visit a comatose post-lightning strike Buck in the ICU, Eddie has a solution. Unfortunately, that involves sharing some pretty personal information in a waiting room filled with the 118.

Summary
Here's what Evan believes: if someone can do something that other people can't, if they offer some unique and special service to the world, they should do that. They have an obligation to use whatever skills they have, ideally to help people. It's just the right thing to do.
And the one thing that Evan can do that almost no one else can is see ghosts.
(The 118 are on a ghost-hunting TV show. Buck's the only one who knows ghosts are real.)

Summary
So if he didn’t bring a guest, he’d be stuck at a table with Keeley and her new girlfriend, Ted with Sassy, and Rebecca. Rebecca and Sassy were okay—except in a show of solidarity with Keeley, Rebecca didn’t really talk to him anymore and Sassy was a bit much after a few drinks. He couldn’t imagine spending the entire night with that group and staying sane. Plus, showing up without a date gave the impression that he hadn’t moved on yet. Normally, he didn’t give a fuck about what impression he gave, but he didn’t want to look like the fucking pathetic, lonely wanker that he was. He couldn’t think of anybody he could invite—or would even want to invite—but there was one person who would probably find it just as tedious and awkward.
And, even better, Roy could make him go.
(Or Roy will take any excuse to ask Jamie on a date even though he's not ready to admit to himself if he wants to go on a date with Jamie)
