Summary
Ada didn't allow herself to feel many weaknesses, but standing on death's door and after watching Raccoon City explode, she couldn't help but limp to her lonely, torturous hotel room, just as she couldn't help but pass out from exhaustion. She just didn't expect to wake up in a completely different place. She truly wasn't worthy of a second of peace, not even on the brink of death.
Or:
For the first time in a long time, Leon felt a sense of tranquility in his life. He had secured the elpis for everyone who needed it, including himself. He felt brand new. After a long, wonderful, sleepless night, Leon woke up and went to make coffee for him and his wife. He just didn't expect to come across a much younger version of Ada, covered in injuries and wrapped in trauma, standing right by the bed. He truly wasn't worthy of a second of peace, not even after escaping death.

Summary
“You kissed me in Raccoon City. But you haven’t since. Do you ever think about doing it again?” He looks at her headily. Lips parted, cheeks flushed by the copious amounts of alcohol he’s ingested.
“My life doesn’t revolve around you,” she says. Maybe, when it comes down to it, that’s one of the biggest lies she’s ever told.

Summary
“Really? Then what did happen?” She threw it back at him. “You wanted to play house with a woman who lies to your face for a living.”
“At least I know you’re lying right now!” He was shaking now, looking at her in a way which he hadn’t in a long long while as her expression flickered. Just slightly.
“Oh, fuck you.”
“No, Ada, fuck you!” His voice finally rose properly, failing to keep the lid on it. “You don’t get to stand there and act like I forced this on you when you kept coming back. Every. Single. Time.”
Or the one where Ada and Leon eventually figure it out but not before hurting each other in the process.
