You acted as the light that once pulled me out of the shadows; words that were kind, soft, and enticing - a siren's song that led me out of a deep slumber- a darkness that was broken by golden morning light. One where the morning dew had yet to dissipate.
But like all good things, it came to an end. You once held me with such care, only to drop me with contempt. You clipped the wings that you, yourself, had bestowed on me.
And now I'm left with a cold disdain, a never-ending reality where I seek out your eyes in hopes that it was just some cruel nightmare, only to find all the hatred sawing straight into the depths of my soul.
