Summary
Love, in all its forms, has always been a rather difficult topic for Maomao. Growing up in the red-light district, being raised in a brothel, being rejected early on by her own mother, they all bring their own fair share of trouble when it comes to expressing one's own feelings. No doubt did they influence her views on such things as romance and love, but there was also something else that made it hard for her. Something she couldn't quite put into words.
And yet, she couldn't deny that she felt....something when it came to Jinshi. It wasn't like it was described in the stories told by hopeless romantics, in those books popular at court, but still...
