Summary
Sonic was a hero--the hero of Mobius.
He was reckless and cocky--too kind for his own good at times, but that's what Shadow admired about him. His tenacity and silent tenderness that he hid behind an invicible character. Sonic loved life--but he was so damn reckless at times.
Cutting it too close in a fight--being so damn self-sacrificial it was maddening. It did concern Shadow--whom despite himself had grown closer to the azure hedgehog. Honestly, it concerned everyone.
For the last four months--Sonic hadn't been running or sparring with Shadow--coincidentally the time when he and Amy had gotten together.
Shadow lost control--and hurt him. He hadn't meant to, but that day-- seeing him on the floor hurt and limp--he realized that he couldn't go through losing someone so bright again, ever again. So, he took it upon himself to live up to his name and follow the hero in silence, preserving the light that should shine until the end of time.
Even when half dead, he told him to dance, to love—to sing, and to live like there was no tomorrow...
But if one day even Sonic couldn't, why bother.

The doors to the Winter King's laboratory were always closed. He passed them during the very first tour of the castle, offering no introduction.
"What's in there?"
“...That’s daddy’s laboratory. It’s off limits.” The Winter King said after a pause, with perhaps a somewhat nervous twinge of his smile.
“Okay!” Ice Marceline replied, having no reason to question further. Winter king was relieved she didn’t seem to pay it any mind.
