Summary

She takes a long drink of the newly-poured wine and then reaches over to yank her knife out of the table, gesturing with the point. “Just came to collect my bounty, and I’m only here -” she makes a little circular motion with the knife to indicate the Ritz “- to tell you two to get your shit together so I don’t have to listen to Crowley whine about it anymore.”

So it was fine. Even if Crowley couldn’t love him, he clearly liked him well enough, and that was almost the same thing.
It no doubt would have continued to be fine, or at least fine-adjacent, were it not for a narrowly averted apocalypse and several bottles of a really quite nice Riesling Aziraphale had found in the back room of his newly restored bookshop.
