After three weeks of struggling to survive on her own she is found, captured, and brought to Azgeda where she comes face to face with Queen Nia and an unexpected enemy. Two years later, after being blackmailed, tortured, and trained, Clarke is forged into the ultimate weapon: an assassin known as the Shadow. With Clarke under her command and the annual Summit approaching, Nia brings Clarke to Polis with a plan to make the Commander suffer and to take over the coalition. In Polis, Clarke finally comes face to face with her friends from Skaikru and with the Commander herself, all who have a million questions that Clarke can't answer.
