    With the Kraang and Shredder gone, everything calmed down.
    At least, Michelangelo thought that was how things were supposed to go.

    With control over the city in limbo, the promise of power has lured many of the turtles' enemies out of hiding. With his brothers too busy to so much as catch their breath, let alone pay him any mind, Michelangelo finds himself questioning where exactly he falls in his brothers' priorities.

    And then he finds himself questioning where he is. At all. He doesn't recognize this new place he's found himself in...

    And then Raph was in the air, and he had—he had—timed it right. He was reaching for Leo and Mikey, and they were reaching for him, arm in arm. Their hands stretched up to where he now flew above them, their eyes trusting—even in this pepto-bismol colored nightmare. They had this just like they had always had each other. Just like they had never, never failed. Not when it mattered. Not in these moments. He would use his momentum and pull them to safety. It would be a hard landing, he knew. A crash landing. It would hurt. But they’d be hurt together, and then laugh about it and groan and complain and go home.

    All he had to do was grab their hands.
