Another great one! The number of astounding writers in this fandom never ceases to amaze me. I was looking for a getting together fic that had some of my fave tropes and this hit the nail on the head, and then some. I love that the banter is spot on as per the show, I love that the author doesn't let up on the angst even and keeps you guessing on whether they'll make up, then soothes you ever so tenderly. The balance of softness, angst and tenderness and tough love is a beautiful mix. I enjoyed this fic lots. Kudos to the writer! Read this if you love a friend's to lovers and a breakup to makeup fic. Alexa play some Blu Cantrell Breathe lol

Summary
They leave the Lesotho border, head east until they hit the coast where the heat’s steady and humidity clings to them like skin. It's then that Bucky really finds out what a problem Cap’s sleeping habits are.
Because, instead of the very sensible, very weather-appropriate sweats Sam’s been wearing, he starts sleeping in his goddamn boxers. Which is also fine, it’s cool, normal even, everyone, including Bucky, does that.
But not everyone, and especially not Bucky, has an ass that just won’t quit.

“I might,” Bucky says. “Honestly, I was banking on going back to Brooklyn. Closest thing I’ve got to home, so, just made sense. But seeing as I’m a fugitive…” He glances over at Sam with a wry smile. “Why, what about you?”
“Rhodey found a spot,” Sam says. “Some safe house on the outskirts of the city. Hasn’t been used in a few years, so, gonna head there and stay low till the pardon is official. Or try to, anyway.”
Bucky is quiet for a minute before he turns to Sam and asks, “Want some company?”

I keep coming back to this story. Definitely the bedtime story I didn't know I needed. Really enjoy how descriptive it is and how you get to feel the characters viewpoints. Might be my fave NeyBappe/NeyLian yet! Also, it's just so sweet! If it got any fluffier, we might need a dentist!
