Future Foundation cordially invites you to a celebration dedicated to both the New Year and the Christmas season. You are heavily encouraged to attend. As one of the survivors of the 78th class, your presence would be a welcome motivation for all of us. Your comrades have received this letter. Selected Future Foundation members have been invited; due to safety concerns, multiple events will happen at different intervals to prevent any coordinated attack. Your event in particular will be confined to members of branches 12 through 14. Branch heads may or may not be in attendance. Time and date will be administered to you shortly.

Summary
Invited to Drift's and her roommate Avid's annual Halloween Party, Oakhurst student (and vamipre) Shelby brings along three of their friends (who are also vampires.) She is determined to ensure this night goes off without a hitch- and while she's never met Avid, she's sure he's just as amazing as Drift! The fact that he has "Pin the Stake on the Vampire" as a party game does not bother her at all.
OR; Four vampires enter the dorm of a potential vampire hunter. Chaos ensues.

Everything in Shelby’s head was screaming at her to run away. The coven would not be pleased if she was sneaking behind their backs, talking with townies. She ordered her feet to unroot themselves from the ground.
Instead, she opened her mouth and said, “Hey.”
Drift immediately whipped around in their direction. Eyes darting around for a figure that would’ve been long gone by now, if it had any brains.
“S-Shelby?” Drift stuttered.
“Uhm, yeah,” they said. “Surprise ?”

Burdened by worry and curiosity, Shelby finds herself in Oakhurst on an otherwise uneventful night. There’s a certain detective she wants to see.

Conversation continued between Avid and Drift, and Shelby’s mind drifted elsewhere. The dull ache began to pound more furiously in her skull. She fought the urge to stare at her friends' necks; the blood pumping beneath skin smelled so tantalizingly delectable. Oh, did they know how lucky they were? To be able to dine on cooked meat, cooked anything, without it tasting like ashes and rot?

“My whole head,” Constance said. She was completely serious.
