Without Durin’s heart, the mountain’s abyssal corruption has marginally lessened. Perhaps, centuries or even millennia from now, the corrosion may dissipate to a negligible amount. The ice will thaw, meadows will bloom, and lush gardens burst forth.

Hand on the ground, Albedo leaned towards her, his eyes pleading. “You’re carrying such an enormous burden. I don’t know if I can be of any assistance, but my presence may reassure you.”
Lumine exhaled a laugh. “If you can’t help, why should I share?”
Albedo blinked then shook his head. He swallowed. “You don’t have to tell me. But, being perfectly honest, if my presence doesn’t affect you, then perhaps it would be better if Klee and I waited for you back at Mondstadt.”
Reeling from meeting Aether 500 years in the past, Lumine sinks to rock bottom. She's so absorbed with chasing Aether on her journey, Albedo fears their marriage is hanging in the balance.

Lumine exchanged glances with Aether. “I’m not the best of musicians…”
“The only music she makes is after eating, if you get my drift—”
Scowling, Lumine stomped on Aether’s foot.

“Grief is like a shadow. A person can go about their day, forgetting they have one, but it’s always looming behind them, chasing their heels.”
Exhaling, he eased his grip on the bottle, hand sliding down. Zhongli held his face with a hand, covering his eyes. “On any sunny day, it’s a weight anchoring you down into dark, watery depths.”
When Lumine find Zhongli weighed down by grief over Guizhong's death, she's inspired with a crazy idea.

Albedo wordlessly offered Lumine a plate. Not breaking eye contact, Albedo raised his eyebrows.
Lumine heaved a breath before accepting the dish. “I’m getting restless. I enjoy living in Mondstadt, but doing commissions every day is really dull.”
“Ah.” A shadow fell over Albedo’s face. Looking away, he muttered, “Already…?”
Even though Lumine achieved her happy ending of saving the world and settling down in Mondstadt with her husband, Albedo, she's still growing restless, much to Albedo's dismay.

Mika blushed to his hair roots. “Y-yes, I’m so sorry for all the trouble I caused you! I promise send you an apology letter and—”
“Don’t bother.” Face etched like stone, Albedo turned back to his desk and riffled through pages of notes. “If you truly desire to apologize, then don’t attempt to scale Dragonspine ever again.”
A prequel fic where Mika and Venti team up to scale the dangerous Dragonspine and thaw Albedo's cold heart.

Albedo reached across the table. Placed his hand over hers. Smiling, Lumine overturned her hand and gave Albedo’s hand a squeeze. She studied at him. His face bore a health flush thanks to the sake. Fluffy flaxen-colored hair spilled onto his shoulders. In the lantern light, he steadily gazed at her with turquoise eyes that almost seemed to glow on their own. For once, his thin lips curled in a slight smile.
Elbow on the table, Lumine rested her chin on her palm. She smirked. “Are you only going to stare at me or what?”
