Summary
“When will I see you next?”
“Saturday,” Yolanda straightens, “on Rod Laver.”
“No pre-match good luck kiss?”
“You’d be so lucky.” Garcia walks to the door and grasps the handle for a second before turning on her heel. “Meet me in the players' lounge ten minutes before we leave for walkouts.”
***
World #1 Trinity Santos and World #2 Yolanda Garcia are rivals on the court, but have been hooking up in secret for the entire offseason. After defeating each other in consecutive grand slam finals, things get messy while they dance around their feelings.

Summary
“We both knew what we were getting into when we started seeing each other,” Garcia eventually said. She looked over her shoulder, glancing at Santos. “And we both agreed this was just casual, didn’t we?”
She didn’t know if she was reminding herself or reminding Santos about their arrangement.
“I know we did… just wanted to make sure you didn’t mean–”
“I was tired and tipsy and you made me come not even thirty seconds before that. I wasn’t exactly in the sharpest state of mind,” Garcia cut off, not unkindly. “Let’s not make this a big deal.”
Or: The events leading up to their 4th of July shift; Garcia accidentally lets an "I love you" slip and tries (fails) to be casual about it.

Summary
Despite literally all of her best instincts screaming for her not to, Trinity lets out a long, drawn out sigh, and asks, “What are you doing next Friday?”
Victoria’s eyes narrow in suspicion. “Why?”
“We’re going on a field trip, Crash,” she says. “It’s time to make your debut at Dyke Night.”
Yolanda’s gonna be so pissed.

Summary
Santos should be in her last year of med school, but instead, she's making coffees across the street from the life she's supposed to have.
She's good at keeping people out, burning things down before they burn her first.
Then Garcia walks in and orders the shitty-looking cinnamon roll, and it all goes sideways from there.
