It was a cold night to Chu Wanning, he was unwrapping himself from his scarf and heavy coat, but Mo Ran walked into the classroom in a far-too-tight cropped t-shirt and black jeans so stuck on he wondered if the man found them in the kid’s section.
Realistically, even at a first glance, Mo Ran was far too tall, too built, to have a hope of fitting into anything outside of the men’s section. As he walked in that day, he didn’t spare Chu Wanning a glance and went to steal one of the still-open seats towards the back of the classroom.
Every day after that though, Chu Wanning noticed Mo Ran sat in the front, right in front of Chu Wanning’s podium, his dark, purple-tinged eyes never failing to track his every movement.

And then Shi Mei comes back from America.
Chu Wanning copes with this fact pretty well (he does not).
