He took in a slow breath, and as he breathed out, Lan Zhan felt it—a sparkling, tumbling rush of magic that raced through him like a spring downpour. It knocked down barriers and whisked off the heavy cover that had sheltered and oppressed him all his life. Words of truth swirled easily to the surface, like floating petals.
“What do you want tonight?” Wei Ying whispered.
