In one swift motion, he ripped off his hood and kicked his sandals off. His hair twitched, his quirk threatening to deactivate under the stress he was under.
But the thought of freeing his hair made him feel ill.
He forced it to maintain its shape as his fingers hovered over his mask. The cool air would feel refreshing, especially after an active day, but…
He remembered a single moment, one that took place only a few hours beforehand.
A flash of silver shone in the sunlight.
Hair was flowing in the wind.
It was as long as his, if he had it naturally loose.
He shook his head, banishing the thought immediately.
It was fine. He was fine. He liked his mask and how it hid his expressions, so it was staying on. It kept him calm, which was what a shinobi like him needed to be.
Or: Shinya pretends he is not afraid until he reaches his breaking point. Tsunagu does not allow him to suffer alone.

Automatically, he turned on the light by pulling the ribbon tied to the cord. He had added it years ago in case he needed to be quick with lighting their bedroom. The darkness could be disorientating when one of them was having a nightmare, which he already feared was happening to Shinya.
Or: Tsunagu gives Shinya clarity after a nightmare.

Summary
A loud slam against wood and a startled cry, both sounds far too close to him.
His head shot up from his work. He initially believed someone had tripped or was pushed into the door, perhaps as a result of fooling around. If that were the case, then he would have to go and make sure they were okay. It was yet another divergence from his schedule, but what else could he do? Someone could have hurt themself and that was not something he could ignore.
He looked at the door as he went to stand, freezing as his stomach dropped. The sweaters stuttered and nearly fell in his shock as he unconsciously gripped them tighter with his mind.
He was no longer alone. Perhaps he never was alone.
There was a student he had never seen right in front of the door, rising on their knees from the floor.
Or: Tsunagu meets Shinya for the first time.
