Summary
This fic is based on a prompt from Twitter/X: “someone write a hs au where instead of rugby nick plays ice hockey and teaches charlie to skate on one of their "we are just friends best bro pals hanging out" dates that neither of them realizes is a date until a lot later”
Nick and Michael play on a hockey team together, and Tori drags Charlie to practice one day. Alternating Charlie and Nick POV's, chapters will be posted two at a time to show both POV's of the same events. The entire work is written and will be updated regularly.

Summary
Fake Dating AU. Nick and Charlie have been friends for quite some time when Harry pesters Nick about taking Tara or Imogen to the upcoming school dance Nick lies and says he's already got a date to the dance. Struggling to find someone Nick turns to Charlie and asks him to pretend to be his boyfriend and act like he's in love with Nick to prove to Harry that he can't control Nick's love life. For Charlie it isn't much of an act at all. The hardest part for Charlie is to try and remember that none of this is real. Will Charlie be able to survive the dance without falling entirely for Nick's act? And just how much of it is actually an act?
TRIGGER WARNING: mild homophobic and biophobic comments, and some non-consensual face touching (it's all very minimal and not a major part of the story but figure I'd put in the warning just in case, better safe than sorry!)
