The beasts have won.
Shadow Milk SHOULD be overjoyed, and he IS. However, victory is much less satisfying then he thought, though maybe that has something to with a certain cookie locked away in a tower, untouched by the chaos of the world. 'Protected.' For some reason despite now having full control of the soul jam Shadow Milk is still pulled to play games and spend time with a certain truthful sage. Maybe if he keeps pressing he'll find out how to get rid of the nasty feeling in his chest.
Meanwhile Eternal Sugar Cookie deals with her nightmare, a surge of passion that threatens to dismantle the joy she's built for everyone. The joy that she's worked hard to give Hollyberry Cookie.

Dark Cacao's Cookie body fails him before his ascension. Mystic Flour retrieves her soul jam. And, still, the world does not end as she would like it to. It seems as though she can't use the power of resolution while its owner is still alive. No matter. She would lead Dark Cacao into a calm, easy death. She was patient. He was weak.
Caramel Arrow and Crunchy Chip are able to regroup after watching the twin dragons of legend fly into the skies of Beast-Yeast. Clearly, something has gone terribly wrong, and there is only one option. They must ascend the mountain themselves and bring their king back safely, before their kingdom deteriorates any further.
Meanwhile, Golden Cheese Cookie has lost her fight with Burning Spice, but he realizes it's much more fun having her around, and he wants to wring all possible entertainment from her. Smoked Cheese has to find her again and help her escape before Burning Spice finds him.
And...well...Pure Vanilla's plan seems to be taking much longer than he originally thought it would.

Summary
After the flood retreated and her people averted their crisis, Furina fled to the refuge of a remote village to hide from the spotlights of the city and the reminders of her pain. She told no one of it, not even Neuvillette. It was also on that day that the rains in Fontaine began and never ceased.
Eventually, a fateful encounter with Lumine ended up leading Furina back to the opera house and back to its Chief Justice, who was keen to not lose her a second time.

Consequently, he is cursed to: assume he is Barbatos, and participate in the ruling of the city; use the Archon outfit when acting in official capacity, and always have his wings out, unable to hide them anymore; Since he mingled with humans so much, now he will be forced choose between pain, or seeking proximity;
At first, it feels like an embarrassment and betrayal of everything Venti stood for. He wanted Mondstadt to be free of gods, and feared being treated differently once the people he knew found his identity. What would they think once they saw the pathetic state of the wings of their Archon?
And besides, love was a feeling that should be given freely.
Over time, that love proves to be what sets things right. Mondstadt is still free, and the nature of Venti’s bonds flourishes beyond what he ever dreamed of.

Lumine and Clorinde are growing more concerned for her by the minute, with nowhere else to turn, they turn to Neuvillette whom Furina refuses to speak to.
