Summary
Miles wondered if it was a trick of the light when Hobie’s eyes flashed a beautiful, vibrant pink when he touched his shoulder.
“Let yourself be Miles for a minute. Like you said,” Hobie explained softly, “not Spider-Man. Not the guy saving the multiverse, or swinging around the city - just Miles.”
___Miles finally makes it back to his universe, jaded and filled with self-doubt. He grapples with forgiving his friends, telling his parents that he's Spider-Man, and saving his dad.
Hobie is his constant through it all.

“Hey, Pav,” Miles said, leaning over the front desk. “Is this Gwen’s guy?”
“Hm?” Pav said, looking at the list. “Oh! Yep. Hobie called in the other day and requested you specifically. I was kind of surprised to be honest. Hobie’s never come in for a tattoo before.”
“Do you know him?” Miles asked.
“I mean— sort of?” Pav said. “He’s in here all the time and he stops to chat at the register whenever he comes to check out. He’s a great guy. Definitely won't cause you any trouble, if that’s why you’re asking.”
To be honest, Miles didn’t really know why he was asking. Something about the guy just drew in Miles’ curiosity.
