“Yeah, you made a promise to me when we got married to put me and my needs first,” Lando retorted, gritting his teeth as he spoke. He knew he sounded like a baby. He didn’t care. He didn’t know whether he wanted to strangle or hug the person who’d fitted Carlos in this suit.
Carlos laughed incredulously, looking at Lando over his shoulder. He reached for his wallet, sitting on top of their hotel room dresser. “Lando, I promise, when I’m back, we can do whatever you want.”
Lando watched him slip his keys into his pocket and started panicking.
He’s not leaving here.
