If it were up to Daniel, he could go the rest of his life without ever seeing his erstwhile, asshole maker again. Unfortunately, journalistic integrity and Lestat's over the top narrative of Paris mean he needs to fact check. Armand's a terrible source, but he's what Daniel's got. Except Armand's memory seems even more selective than Lestat's and Louis', and Daniel's starting to wonder who all these holes are protecting.
Everyone except Daniel, who meets his frigid gaze and smirks, holding his champagne up as though in cheers.
Armand comes to a stop at his side. He gives Daniel a quick once-over, his lips curling as he takes in the New York Dolls t-shirt and leather jacket, the way his claws jut out from his wrinkled hands, the world’s most misplaced acrylics. He finally meets his gaze, scowling as he takes in the grooves on his face, the crows feet surrounding their now shared eyes. Armand looks away just as quickly. Apparently he’s as unworthy in Manhattan as he was in Dubai and San Francisco.
Whatever. He doesn’t want to be. Not for Armand, at least.
