Summary
In online discussions surrounding fandom and fan engagement, different frameworks exist to delineate and differentiate between different types of fandom. These include transformative, affirmational, curatorial, and forensic fandoms- four categories which frequently overlap in different fannish activities and communities yet provide distinct frameworks for understanding how communities function. However, these categories do not fully account for a fifth framework through which to view fandom, the parasocial fandom. Parasocial fandom, defined as a fandom community that grows out of a shared parasocial relationship, has a rather paradoxical nature - as it can serve a detriment to the objects of the fandom while simultaneously working to protect these same individuals. Through the example of the Phandom, this paper explores how parasocial fandom’s apparent contradictions demonstrate a more complex narrative.

Summary
“My– my name is Phil Lester,” he says and he shouldn’t. He shouldn’t pause to wait for a response, to wait for recognition, but he does.
There is none.
“I need some– I need some legal advice?”
“Yes, that is sort of what I figured when you called my law firm."
Phil wakes up in an alternate reality where Dan and he have never met and does the only thing he can think of doing: Finding Dan.
(And then not stopping to bother him.)

Summary
In the summer of 1976, Fleamont and Euphemia took James through Western Europe in an RV. In the summer of 1996, James wants to follow the same route with fifteen-year-old Harry to stop them from drifting apart. When they come across a dark-haired man driving a car from the 1960s with his godson in the backseat, the journey becomes one of rediscovering the word “family,” even after losses that once broke it.

Summary
As far as he knew, none of his friends had any plans today. It would take him forever to hunt for them through the castle.
Unless…
Remus pulls out the blank parchment from his nightstand where they stashed it after a long night of fiddling with the spellwork. The innocuous piece of paper was so much more than what meets the eye - the beginnings of their latest project, a map of the school.
Or: Remus is lonely and tests out their new map to look for his friends.
Or, or: The proof of concept for a prototype interactive Marauders Map workskin I’m making poorly disguised as a Choose Your Own Adventure fluff fic. Click away, my friends.
