“Spent a heat with someone?” The second the words are out of his mouth, Laurent knows they’re wrong. The thought had jumped out at him, and for a moment, overwhelmed with feelings of jealousy, Laurent had spoken without thinking. He has no reason to think that Damen is planning on spending his heat with anybody. He also has no reason to think Damen’s never had a heat partner before.
“A heat,” Damen finishes his sentence, dark skin flushing an impossibly pretty pink. “I have never really had a heat before.”
Laurent blinks, and then blinks again.

“Was that some weird nepotism shit, then?” He asks.
“Back straight,” Vi orders, poking Ekko in the spine with a sharp finger as he pulls the bar back down. He fixes his posture instinctively, straightening his head as well while he’s at it. “And no, dude. It was a genuine recommendation. Your joints are gonna keep giving you trouble if you don’t fix them.”
Ekko grits his teeth on the next rep, both from the strain and his own irritation.
“Why’d you walk out?” Vi redirects, voice softer, more sympathetic.
“Just couldn’t do it,” Ekko huffs. “I just can’t move like that.”
“It’s yoga,” Vi says, face scrunching.
