“It’s not a secret,” Mr. Johnson says. He ducks down to wipe more aggressively at a stain on the floor, the mop squeaking. “Everyone knows.” He pauses. “Right?”

Summary
Barbara stops sleeping through the night when she’s forty-seven. Her OBGYN tells her that this is because of menopause; her husband tells her that it’s because both girls are out of the house and she worries about them; her mother tells her over a crackling phone line that it must be because of some unrepented sin. Barbara knows it’s because she’s fallen in love with Melissa.

Summary
It shouldn’t be that big of a deal; Barbara is a striking woman, with her regal posture and gorgeous face. She is probably as close to perfection as a woman could get, packaged up all nice and pretty in her silky shirts and soft sweaters. But that doesn’t mean when some boring suit makes a pass at what Melissa could only dream of calling hers, she has to sit there and like it.
A few months ago (whoops!) a lovely anon on tumblr asked for a story involving Melissa being jealous over Barbara. Rating will change with the final chapters!

Summary
Lilia nodded, a purposeful set to her shoulders that Rio could only respect. She stepped towards the billowing mist, only to turn back to look at Rio once more. “You know, the death card in tarot is misunderstood. People fear it means ill fortune or even their own demise. But they’re wrong. It almost always means a transformation, the end of one phase or journey for the next. It means letting go of the past and moving forward.”
