Tim Bradford, recently divorced, was having a hard time falling in love again. His best friend Angela Lopez has tried to set him up but he doesn't budge. While on Patrol with Jackson, Tim gets injured on a call. When the paramedics arrived, Tim couldn't believe his eyes. He spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, even more beautiful than his ex. They engaged in conversation as she patched him up. They talked and got to know each other a little bit. After coming up with a decision, Lucy packs up her bags and heads back home to Los Angeles. What she doesn’t know is that this would be the best decision of her entire life.

“That was … god, that was beautiful.”
Tim hums in agreement, watching as Dom and sub hold each other in the aftermath of their public scene. He then turns around, and his eyes widen and his breath catches in his throat as he realizes who is standing next to him, speaking to him.
God, but she’s breathtaking.
“Y-yeah, it was,” he stammers, and he feels like he can barely breathe as he watches her. “The aftercare… it’s one of my favorite parts.”
The woman nods, and Tim watches out of the corner of his eye as she wraps her arms around her chest. Her eyes are downcast and her fingers shake a little as she tucks them into her underarms, and Tim frowns because even after scening, a sub shouldn’t be shaking the way she is.
“Are you alright?” he asks, and she nods as she bites her lip and glances up at him.

The way she saw it, Lucy had two choices. She could either lean into her feelings whenever she was Juicy, effectively giving herself permission to be in love with him… and deal with the consequences when it was over. Or she could keep fighting the good fight and try to fake not having feelings while faking that she did. Which sounded… exhausting.
